Giving is biblical. It’s all God’s anyway. Being a responsible steward of the finances that God has entrusted to us is essential to our faith. God loves a cheerful giver, not one under compulsion (2 Corinthians 9).
The Christian faith is meant to be exercised in the context of a church community. This includes tithing. We give to God to advance his kingdom, not ours. If it doesn’t serve to glorify Christ, we’re not interested.
